TMMT – Team Mana Muay Thai Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: March 29, 2025

Welcome to TMMT – Team Mana Muay Thai ("TMMT," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, training programs, and facilities. By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Membership & Training Policies

1.1 Membership Eligibility

  • Memberships are available to individuals aged 18 and older. Minors (under 18) may enroll with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

  • We reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone based on misconduct, failure to comply with our policies, or for any other reason at our discretion.

1.2 Membership Terms & Payment

  • Memberships are billed on a monthly basis, unless otherwise specified in a pre-paid plan (e.g., 6-month or 12-month options).

  • All membership fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated in a written agreement.

  • Memberships do not auto-cancel; members must provide written notice at least 30 days before their next billing cycle to cancel.

  • Any declined or failed payments must be settled within 7 days to avoid suspension of membership access.

1.3 Free Trial & Promotions

  • We offer a free first class to new members (Los Angeles residents only). This is subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance.

  • Discounted membership rates (e.g., for veterans, healthcare workers, and teachers) require valid ID and proof of eligibility.

1.4 Class Attendance & Cancellations

  • Members are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early to ensure class starts on time. Late arrivals may be asked to wait for the next session.

  • Private lessons require a 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling; otherwise, the session will be forfeited, and payment will not be refunded.

  • If a member frequently misses scheduled private sessions without prior notice, they may lose the ability to book future private training slots.

2. Facility & Conduct Policies

2.1 Code of Conduct

To maintain a respectful and safe training environment, all members must:

  • Show respect to coaches, staff, and fellow students at all times.

  • Follow proper hygiene practices, including wearing clean training gear and maintaining personal cleanliness.

  • Avoid using foul language, aggressive behavior, or misconduct that disrupts others.

  • Listen to coaches' instructions and respect gym etiquette (e.g., bowing before entering the mat, cleaning up equipment after use).

  • Sparring is only permitted for members with prior approval from a coach and while wearing required protective gear (gloves, shin guards, mouthguard).

2.2 Facility Use & Safety

  • The gym is a shared space, and all members must respect equipment and training areas.

  • No outside shoes on the mats—training is conducted barefoot or with appropriate footwear.

  • Members must inform coaches of any injuries or health conditions before training.

  • Use of alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances before training is strictly prohibited. Any member found violating this rule will be immediately removed from the gym.

3. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

3.1 Acknowledgment of Risks

  • Muay Thai is a contact sport that involves physical exertion and risk of injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, cuts, bruises, or concussions.

  • By participating in any class, training session, or sparring event, you acknowledge and accept these risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury sustained.

3.2 Release of Liability

  • TMMT, its coaches, trainers, staff, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred while participating in training, events, or while using gym facilities.

  • Members waive all rights to hold TMMT responsible for injuries resulting from voluntary participation in training, sparring, or gym-related activities.

4. Intellectual Property & Online Content

4.1 Content Ownership

  • All training programs, techniques, and materials provided by TMMT are intellectual property of TMMT and may not be copied, distributed, or resold without explicit permission.

  • Any video recordings, images, or written content posted by TMMT on the website or social media belong to TMMT and may not be used for commercial purposes without consent.

4.2 Social Media & Photography

  • By training at TMMT, you acknowledge that photos or videos may be taken during classes or events for promotional purposes.

  • If you do not wish to be included in media content, you must notify staff in writing before attending a class.

5. Cancellations, Freezes, & Refunds

5.1 Membership Cancellations

  • Members may cancel their membership with a 30-day written notice before their next billing cycle.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused time on memberships.

5.2 Membership Freezes

  • Members may request to freeze their membership for up to 3 months per year due to injury, travel, or other valid reasons.

  • Freezes must be requested at least 7 days before the next billing date and will not be applied retroactively.

5.3 Refunds

  • No refunds will be provided for missed classes or partial membership periods.

  • Refunds are only issued in rare cases of gym closure or extenuating circumstances, subject to approval by TMMT management.

6. Termination of Membership

TMMT reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership under the following conditions:

  • Violation of gym policies or misconduct that disrupts the environment.

  • Failure to make payments for two consecutive billing cycles.

  • Engaging in unsafe behavior that puts yourself or others at risk.

  • Any disrespectful or aggressive behavior toward staff, coaches, or fellow students.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

  • Our website and services may include links to third-party websites. We do not control or endorse these sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
